CayPlay Studios is a newly formed indie game studio co-founded by Caylus Cunningham, one of the world’s largest gaming creators (50M+ subscribers on YouTube), and Travis Richardson, his longtime business partner and manager. The studio’s mission is to create bold, creator-friendly games that blend open-ended creativity with hilarious, chaos-driven gameplay. WaterPark Simulator is their debut title, with future projects already in the works — including plans to develop multiplayer experiences in GTA 6. The idea for WaterPark Simulator came from a simple but surprising realization: no one had made a true waterpark simulation game. With hundreds of millions of views across simulator content as well as waterslide related content on Caylus' channels, it felt like a no-brainer. Caylus and Travis saw a clear opportunity to create something they genuinely wanted to play — a chaotic, creative, and fun waterpark experience where you get to build it from the ground up. Rather than waiting for someone else to make it, the CayPlay team decided to build it themselves. Development began with a focus on core mechanics that would make every moment unpredictable and entertaining. The goal was to deliver a game that captures the thrill, humor, and freedom that players love about sandbox simulators, while offering a fresh setting that had been missing from the genre. WaterPark Simulator is the result of that vision, launching first with a playable demo on Steam on June 6th 2025.
